We’re so excited that you’re considering joining our emergency medicine family.

At Swedish Hospital on Chicago’s North Side, you’ll train in a vibrant, diverse community that challenges you, teaches you, and inspires you every day. Our residents come from a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives—much like the patients we care for—and we believe that diversity makes us stronger clinicians, teammates, and advocates.

What makes our program special, though, is the people. We learn together, support each other through the toughest shifts, celebrate each other's successes, and build friendships that last well beyond residency.
