We believe that the best patient care is provided by residents who have balanced and happy lives. Our program looks for ways to support our residents while they journey through their post-graduate training. Each resident is included in our mentorship program between their peers and core faculty. The resident Wellness Chair organizes social events and activities throughout the city to build rapport within our program. Our emergency department also has regularly sponsored social events throughout the year to support wellness and stress mitigation.
Residents also have informal gatherings at each other's homes, local bars, restaurants and area attractions on a regular basis. One of the perks of being in a residency in Chicago is the wide variety of events and activities at your fingertips. Our residents truly feel as if they are family when they are in and out of the hospital.
